Recording Artists, Member of the non exclusive ISE Band and Saxophone Player Andrew Pointer or better known as "Tub", was born in Chicago, Illinois.  Andrew Pointer was born February 4, 1977. This Chicago native was first inspired to be a musician at the age of 3 when he heard the saxophone player from Saturday Night Live. By the age of 9, he played the theme from the evening soap opera"Dynasty", on a wooden recorder. The next day, his parents bought him a saxophone. 

     Throughout his childhood and teenage years, Andrew's parents have been a true motivation to him, as he learned to play the saxophone through many different ways. (punishments, beatings, etc.).  At the age of seventeen, Andrew received special training from world renown saxophonist Dean Sayre ( played for the Johnny Carson show).  Through him, Andrew learned an assortment of techniques, theory, scales, and sight reading skills. 

     After graduating from high school, Andrew received a scholarship from Kentucky State University. There, he played in the marching, jazz, concert, and commercial bands. (First Chair and Section Leader) Andrew also formed and put together a band, won homecoming talent shows and became opening acts for; Ja rule, Whoodini, Mid Night Star, Sunshine Anderson, and Kid Capri, and more.

     In 1999, he got married, had a daughter but realized that something was seriously wrong with his life.  He realized he was not living in a manner that would set the standard for his children.  He then realized that he had no relationship with God.  So he started attending church services and later started playing his sax in the church. One day while playing, he felt the spirit of the Lord in a church service and got baptized. Since that day, Andrew has vowed to only play to glorify God.

     Today, Andrew 's desire is to provide both believers and non believers with music that they can groove, cry, relax, drive, clean, and work out to.  He wants to reach all people for two reasons.  One reason is to bring believers closer to God.  The second reason is to inspire non believers to give their life to the most high God.  So we truly hope that you will enjoy the anointed sounds of Big Tub and thank you for listening in advance.

     Tub has performed as the opening act for many top named acts such as,  Whoodini, Ja Rule, Kid Capri, Mid-Night Star, and Sunshine Anderson. This seasoned Sax, Flute and just about any reed instrument player has also played at WestPoint Baptist Church for Albertina Walker, he has also performed at Community Covenant Church for the well known Darius Brooks. Tub gave his life to Christ and was saved and baptized in November 1999.
